Compressor Cleaner and System Flush
For Rotary Screw Air Compessors
The popularity of synthetic compressor lubricants requires a fluid specifically designed to clean lubricating systems while being compatible with a wide range of lubricants. CAS-Clean is that fluid!
CAS-Clean is the cleaner to use when you want to remove the harmful varnish that robs your compressor’s
performance and leads to bearing failure.
It also works great as a system flush when changing over to synthetic oils from mineral oils. This maximizes oil life by reducing the danger of contamination due to oil carry-over. Regular use of CAS-Clean will help you get the most out of your synthetic oil and your compressor by removing varnish and reducing operating temperatures.
CAS-Clean:
– Solubilizes and removes harmful varnish and “sludge”
– Is 100% synthetic
– Is readily biodegradable
– Can be used to clean and flush systems running on mineral oils or synthetic oils
– Contains no aromatic solvents or hazardous ingredients
– Contains additives so that it can be used as a lubricant for up to 500 hours.
Recommended Procedure for Cleaning and Flushing With CAS-Clean
· Flushing procedure for clean machines currently using:
Mineral Oils: Drain compressor completely while hot; detach lines and drain as well. Re-attach lines and fill compressor with CAS-Clean and run until unit reaches normal operating temperature. Drain CAS-Clean from unit and change filters and separators. Fill compressor with new charge of oil. After 100 hours of opera- tion, take an oil sample and send to CAS for analysis.
Polyglycols or Silicone: Drain the compressor completely as above. Change the oil filter and fill with CAS-Clean and run unit for 200 to 300 hours. Drain compressor completely and inspect the oil filter and the used charge of CAS-Clean. If the filter and cleaner are still dirty, repeat from the beginning. Continue with this procedure until the oil filter and cleaner are clean. If it is clean, replace the filters and separator elements and fill compressor with a new charge of synthetic oil. Take an oil sample after 100 hours of operation and forward to CAS for analysis.
If a machine is extremely varnished, machine should not be put back into service until it has been mechanically or chemically cleaned. After this procedure, fill with a new charge of oil and send in an oil sample for analysis after 100 hours.
